DIPLOMAT GOLF RESORT & SPA MERGER WITH THE BEACHFRONT WESTIN DIPLOMAT RESORT & SPA
May 21, 2010HOLLYWOOD, FL--The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida is excited to announce that, with the start of the New Year, the property now encompasses the former Diplomat Golf Resort & Spa, a member of the Starwood Luxury Collection. Together, as one destination, The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa now offers two unique experiences: golf & spa and beachfront.
Signature Westin elements such as the Heavenly products, Super Foods, and the distinctive White Tea scent have been integrated into the golf location�s 60 guest rooms and the Links Restaurant & Lounge. While the full-service spa will soon be transformed into a Westin Heavenly Spa, the championship 18-hole golf course will continue to be managed by internationally renowned Troon® Golf.
This merger will allow a seamless transition for attendees between the two locations, regardless of room type. Choose a corner suite with a wrap-around balcony overlooking the ocean and catch the hotel shuttle for a short ride over the Intracoastal Waterway to indulge in a spa treatment, a round of golf or to volley a few tennis balls. If your stay dictates a more intimate setting, then the 60-guestroom golf location, surrounded by lush Banyan and mature Palm trees, is ideal.
The same shuttle can take guests to the beach location to enjoy a variety of additional amenities such as poolside and beach cabanas and several dining options. Including the newest creation, Aizia, a sensual pan-Asian restaurant with deeply rooted traditional flavors presented with contemporary flare to inspire the palette and the eye. Aizia is open from 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. At 11 p.m. nightly, the energy increases as the lights dim to transform Aizia into a high-energy dance club. Lighter fare and Sushi are served until 2 a.m.
Complementing these amenities are the Westin�s beachfront infinity-edge pool with a unique see-through bottom and two waterfalls that flow into a 240-foot lagoon pool. Several water-sport activities and team-building programs are also available. The beach location also offers vast outdoor event options, as well as a convention center with over 209,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and 39 breakout rooms.
