Sheraton Seattle Hotel Completes a $130 Million Expansion RenovationApr 10, 2009On November 10, 1982, the 35-story, 840-room Sheraton Seattle Hotel opened its doors in the heart of downtown Seattle. Our offerings were unique and numerous, with spacious guest rooms, over 40,000 square feet of meeting space, inviting restaurants, and close proximity to the Washington State Convention & Trade Center. In 2005, Sheraton began a $130 million expansion renovation to include the new 25-story Union Street Tower, an 18,000 square foot Grand Ballroom, a 10,000 square foot Junior Ballroom, and a $2 million Fitness Center (opened in 2009). Our new, luxurious space opened in 2007 with a total of 75,000 square feet in ballroom and breakout space condensed on three floors, 47 total meeting rooms, and 1,258 stylish guest rooms still right at this Northwestern city's thriving center. |
