WALT DISNEY WORLD SWAN AND DOLPHIN RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING CATERING SERVICESResort’s catering team honored by National Association of Catering Executives; Catering director named to the national boardMay 21, 2010Resort’s catering team honored by National Association of Catering Executives; Catering director named to the national board Lake Buena Vista, Fla. – Sept. 8, 2009 – The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has once again been recognized for its outstanding catering services as the resort’s staff took home two awards at the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) annual conference. Catering sales managers Tatiana Ferreira and Janise Diaz won Best Buffet Table Presentation of The Year, and catering sales manager Maria Marcano earned Best Catered On-Premise Event of the Year, $25,000 to $75,000. This is the third consecutive year the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort has been honored by NACE after winning Best On-Premise Event, budget under $35,000 the past two years. Additionally, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort director of catering Ed DiAntonio was recently elected to sit on the NACE National Board. The 12- person national board represents NACE’s 4,000 plus members throughout the United States and Canada. DiAntonio, who is the current president of the Orlando Chapter, will serve as chair of the Chapter Presidents’ Council (CPC). All NACE chapter presidents are a member of the CPC and use this forum to discuss chapter issues, share ideas and find solutions. Last year DiAntonio was named Caterer of the Year for 2008 for the Greater Orlando NACE chapter. NACE is the oldest and largest professional association that addresses all aspects of the catering industry.
